The Cadywoompus mission is to reach out to the modern day teenager, showing a set of values through music. Cadywoompus is a band of 4 (Jordan, Kristian, Ruth, Eric) from Montreal playing a style of melodic rock & roll filled with positive messages. Playing songs that deal with the daily pressures of being a teenager in a modern world, the band's sound has been influenced by rock bands such as MxPx, the Ramones, Green Day, Elvis Costello etc...

Cadywoompus was established in 2001 when singer & guitarist, Jordan Crowder asked drummer, Kristian Matte if he wanted to start a band. In the summer of '01, Jordan and Kristian practiced alone together in their home church playing the Ramones, MxPx, Green Day and Praise covers and wrote their first 2 songs, "Sleepless" and "Loyalty". But things were not complete with Cadywoompus; they still needed a bassist. Jordan always knew who he wanted to play bass; Ruth. Ruth Shooflar and Jordan used to jam together in an old band called "5 Cent Refund" wich went absolutely nowhere. When Ruth finally got back from her job at a summer camp, she started practicing with the boys...Together they played a few local shows at churches and community centers, but it wasn't until the summer of 2002 that they decided to recruit second guitarist Eric Dionne. During the summer of '02 the Cadywoompus sound improved drastically as they went on to play more diverse venues and popular shows. In December of '02, they joined up with OnRock Ministries to record their first EP. "To The Stars Through Trials" was released January 10th, 2003...The Cadywoompus journey has just begun, and the title of their EP drescribes exactly what they had to do to get where they are, and where they wanna keep going...
